Cool investing site: Acorns

I read about Acorns on the Krazy Coupon Lady’s site. This is literally the coolest thing since Bank of America came up with Keep the Change (disclaimer: I don’t have a Bank of America Account). This is a site, as well as an app that you can use to invest in stocks, bonds & real estate. The portfolios are put together by smart people too.

Anyways, Acorns has so many things going for it. You can choose an automatic weekly investment. You can transfer the extra change from purchases you’ve made to your Acorns account. There is a monthly fee of $1 per month, as long as your account stays under $5,000. If your account is more than $5,000, there is a fee of .25% per year.

I’ve been wanting to invest directly in the stock market for awhile but never seemed to have the cash available. This is very easy to do and you can start with a very small investment. Plus, you can send a referral link to a friend or family member and if they sign up and make a deposit you each get $5 put in your account. It’s a win-win. Check it out!
